The Internet as a source of reliable information

61% of the Internet users use the Internet while planning their summer vacations.The following data are the result of the Internet research study NetMonitor Consumer, which took place in the mid February 2006 on the 1400 respondents over 18 years of age who are also involved in researching the Czech Internet as part of the NetMonitor project. We can see from the research that more than 60% of the surveyed count on the Internet as a source of public information for planning their vacations ( see the graph or the table ). This information concerns particularly data related to travel agencies, their offers, finding the right destination or completing a trip order and paying through the Internet for the service.
94% of Internet users who are planning to buy a car consider information about it coming from the Internet to be important
The following data constitutes the results of the Internet research study NetMonitor Consumer, which took place in mid February 2006 on the sample of 1400 respondents over than 18 years of age, who are also involved in researching the Czech Internet as part of the NetMonitor project.
As we can see from the results one fifth of the surveyed (Internet users ) are planning to buy a car within the next year and almost one third of them ( 31,3 % ) are planning to do it in 2 years. In spite of this, almost half of Internet users ( 48,8 % ) are not planning to buy it in the nearest future. Those who are planning to do so, want in most cases to buy a second-hand car, approximately 3-5-year-old vehicles and with worth up to 200 000 Czech crowns. Most of the surveyed would like to pay in cash or choose leasing. Skoda, Opel and Volkswagen turned out to be the most popular makes of cars.
From the group of people Internet users who are planning to buy a car, the Internet as a source of information is very important for 46.2 % (it means that 23.7 % of all Internet users - you can see more in the table) and for 48% moderately important (it means 24.6% of all Internet users). Only for 5.8% of the surveyed who are planning to buy a car is Information coming from the Internet is not important at all.
