What Latvian Internet users watch, read and listen to the most

The Gemius report “Media consumption and attitudes towards online advertising” presents the most popular types of tradional media in Latvia. According to the results of the research, the unquestionable leader among TV channels is TV3. A total of 62% of the Internet users like to watch it most of all.
The Internet users in Latvia who have ever watched television indicated TV3 and LNT as the undoubted leaders in the ranking of 11 tested TV channels. Both channels were watched by nearly 60% of the users within the week prior to the research.
5 minūtes and Diena are the most popular daily press titles among 10 brands presented to the respondents. One out of five Latvian online users who have ever read the daily press had read them within the week preceding the study.
In the category of weekly magazines, there were three titles being read a week before the study and having nearly the same popularity: Sestdiena (17%), TV Izklaide (17%) and Privātā Dzīve (16%). About one in three respondents ever reading magazines from this category declared reading these titles a month before the study.
Among the ten monthly magazines tested in the study, one title – Cosmopolitan – was the leader in the category with 24% of the respondents who had read it a month preceding the study.
From the list of 10 radio stations, Radio SWH was chosen by 34% of the users as the station that was listened to a week prior to participating in the study. However, results for the stations Star FM and Radio Skonto were very similar, 31% and 30%, respectively.
