gemiusTraffic - FAQ

My account does not display graphs. Why not?

  • Three elements in the user-interface (graphs, menu on the left-hand side and the Control Panel on the right-hand side) are Java applets - programs written in the Java programming language. Thanks to the use of Java, Gemius is able to create complicated interactive graphical elements in its user interface - like graphs with real-time data.
  • The software responsible for the functioning of Java applets in an Internet browser is called the Java Virtual Machine.
  • If any of these three elements is not visible when logging into the gemiusTraffic interface, this most likely indicates that the computer from which the user is logging into the interface does not have the Java Virtual Machine installed or that the Internet browser being used does not support Java. This will likewise cause problems when visiting other web sites that make use of Java applets.
  • The gemiusTraffic interface has been designed to work with Internet browsers that meet the standards of DOM Level1 and CSS2. The most popular web browsers meet these standards, and a partial list includes:

· Internet Explorer 5.x, 6.x Windows,

· Internet Explorer 5.2, Mac,

· Netscape 6.x, 7x,

· Mozilla 1.x,  2x, Firefox,

· Safari,

· Opera 7.x.

  • If you are not using one of these browsers and would like to access your gemiusTraffic data, please install one of them on your computer.
  • If you use one of the browsers listed above, but the Java applets are not displaying correctly, please try to install the Java Virtual Machine.

If these steps do not fix the problem, please e-mail us.
